Subor GRP Pipes and Fittings are advanced composite materials that combine high strength, low weight, and exceptional corrosion resistance. Due to these superior properties, GRP composites are increasingly preferred in major infrastructure and industrial applications worldwide.
World-Class GRP Pipe Technology: Continuous Filament Winding Process
World-Class GRP Pipe Technology: Continuous Filament Winding Process
Continuous Filament Winding production is carried out using the Continuous Filament Winding Technology, a computer-controlled process in which glass fibers are wound around a continuously rotating mandrel. The glass fibers form the inner and outer structural layers to ensure pressure resistance and rigidity, while chopped glass fibers across all layers provide axial strength. The polyester resin binds all components through a thermoset polymerization reaction, and silica sand is incorporated into the core layer to enhance stiffness in a cost-effective manner.
Production Capacity and Manufacturing Versatility With an annual production capacity of 1,200 km, Subor ranks among the world’s largest GRP manufacturers. The facilities include four continuous filament winding lines and one non-circular and small-diameter production line, enabling the manufacture of GRP pipes and fittings in a wide range of sizes—from DN100 mm up to DN4000 mm. This extensive capacity provides maximum flexibility in both pipe and fitting production.
Beyond manufacturing, Subor acts as a solution partner, creating customized production and shipment plans according to project priorities. The broad and versatile product range covers an extensive spectrum of diameters, pressure classes, and configurations, meeting the specific needs of complex and large-scale projects with precision and efficiency.
Quality Assurance and Traceability Every stage of production, from raw material input to the final product, is fully computerized and automated, guaranteeing consistent quality and complete traceability. Advanced monitoring systems allow each product’s history to be tracked precisely back to its raw material origins. Supported by 24/7 operational capability and a skilled workforce, Subor is equipped to meet the most demanding project requirements with reliability and precision.
