Service
life of the pipes which are used in the infrastructure projects is
very important for using the sources of countries efficiently.
However; the steel and cement pipes that are used in infrastructures
are subjected to corrosion and unless proper installation and proper
protection is done, the pipes can be out of service very earliar
before their service life. SUBOR
has brought new
and absolute solutions to corrosion and other problems with GRP(glass
reinforced plastic) pipes.
SUBOR
provides a definite remedy for the corrosion problem with its Glass
Reinforced Polyester (GRP) Pipes in Turkey, a rapidly developing
country with large infrastructure projects. Conscious that the most
valuable and strategic resource in the world today is water, SUBOR
manufactures pipes of "information age" with Flowtite
"Continuous Filament Winding Technology" at its production
plants in Sakarya and Şanlıurfa.
SUBOR
manufactures pipes since 1997 at its modern production plant located
in Sakarya / Karapürçek (Northwestern Turkey) established over an
area of 74.000 m2, with a production capacity of 350.000 m GRP pipes
per year. With the objective to serve the infrastructure projects in
the whole country and especially in the GAP (Southeastern Anatolia
Project) area better, SUBOR
has established its second production plant in Şanlıurfa
(Southeastern Turkey), with an open area of 200.000 m2.

SUBOR
is producing GRP
pipes in diameters between 300 mm. and 2400 mm., up to 32 atm.
operating pressure.

SUBOR
has the highest production
capacity of GRP pipes with the facilities and production lines it
has in its two plants.

Over 1400
km. GRP pipes we produce are used in over 200 projects of D.S.İ (State of
Hydraulic Works), Iller bank , Municipalities, ISKI (Istanbul Sewage and
Water Works), rural authorities, industrial plants, private
organisations in Turkey and abroad. The Bandirma Municipality Drinking
Water Project had been carried out with ensuring foreign export loan by
SUBOR
in order to purchase
the GRP pipes. In scope of GAP (Southeastern Anatolian Project),
SUBOR
ensured foreign
export loan for 108 km. of GRP pipes that were used in Yaylak Irrigation
Project.
In
parallel to local market efforts, SUBOR
also put emphasis on export markets and made considerable progress. From
the establishment, SUBOR
exported
considerable GRP pipes and fittings to Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Greece,
Bulgaria, Yemen, Jordan, Romania, Poland, Germany, Kazakhistan,
Turkmenistan, Spain, Croatia, Norway, and Slovenia. We ensured successfull
application and installation of GRP pipes with our technical asistance and
field supervision.
SUBOR
completed year 2003
with 13 million USD export sales, and 2004 exports goal is 15 million USD.
With
increasing demands for GRP tanks, depots and pipes for industrial plants, SUBOR
aimed at increasing quality on these markets with the pipe of information
age..
SUBOR,
the leading company in GRP pipe production, has ISO 9001 “quality
management systems”, and ISO 14001 “ Environmental Management
System” certificates since 1999.
Due to
the free supervision service we give, and the high quality GRP pipes we
produce; SUBOR
has become a demanded trademark in the sector.
